1. Information We Collect

We only collect data necessary to deliver and improve your practice experience, including:

• Account & Profile Data: If you create an account, we collect your chosen display name, profile avatar, and optional contact email. We also store your custom preferences including metronome sound selections, default BPM settings, and interface customizations.
• Practice Content & Activity Data: All content you create in your personal exercise library (scales, chords, songs, technique drills, custom durations, default tempos, and optional cover art), plus your practice session records, streak progress, weekly activity logs, practice heatmap data, and badge achievement history.
• Device Permission Data: When you use the built-in tuner, we request access to your device microphone only for real-time pitch detection. We never store, record, or transmit any audio recordings from your microphone after the pitch calculation is complete. If you upload custom cover art for your exercises, we access your device storage only to retrieve the files you select.
• Technical Performance Data: Anonymous crash logs, app load times, and feature usage statistics that help us fix bugs and optimize app performance. This data is not linked to your personal account.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Deliver core Brobo features: sync your exercise library across devices, save your practice progress, generate your stats dashboard and streak tracking, run the real-time tuner, and enable JSON/CSV export of your session data.
• Personalize your experience: surface relevant practice suggestions based on your past activity, and remember your preferred metronome settings for each exercise type.
• Send essential service communications: optional practice reminders, streak alerts, and important updates to the Brobo service (you can opt out of non-essential notifications at any time in your profile settings).
• Improve Brobo features: analyze anonymized usage patterns to refine BPM controls, add new exercise templates, and optimize the visualizer and tuner accuracy.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal data or practice content to third parties for commercial purposes. We only share your data in the following limited cases:

• With trusted service providers who operate our cloud storage, data sync, and app hosting infrastructure. These providers are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and may only use your data to deliver services to Brobo, not for their own purposes.
• When required by mandatory legal obligations, or to protect the safety, rights, and property of Brobo, our users, or the general public.

4. Your Data Rights

You retain full control over all data you share with Brobo:

• Access, edit, or delete any of your exercise library content, practice records, and profile information directly in the app at any time.
• Export all your practice session and exercise data in JSON or CSV format via your profile settings, for your own personal use.
• Request a full download of all personal data associated with your account by contacting our support team.
• Delete your entire account at any time. Upon account deletion, all your personal data, practice content, and activity records will be permanently erased from our active servers within 7 days, and from backup systems within 30 days.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard encryption for all data in transit and at rest, including end-to-end encryption for sync of your personal exercise library. We regularly update our security protocols to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and accidental data loss. While we take all reasonable precautions to protect your data, no digital storage system or transmission method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to our features or operational practices. We will notify all users of any material changes via in-app notification at least 30 days before the updated policy takes effect. Your continued use of Brobo after the new policy becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
